Auto-confirm new appointments
While most users choose to automatically confirm new appointments booked on their GrowthMap™ calendars, you may want to turn this feature off for one or more of your calendars. Turning off the Auto-confirm new appointments in a GrowthMap™ calendar can be beneficial in several scenarios. Here are some reasons why you might choose to disable this feature:
- Manual Appointment Screening: If you want to manually review each appointment before confirming it, turning off auto-confirm allows you to ensure that appointments meet specific criteria (e.g., appropriate lead qualification, client details are complete) before they are locked in.
- Avoid Overbooking: If your schedule is tight or fluctuates, you may prefer to manually confirm appointments to avoid overbooking or conflicts with other commitments that might not be reflected in your calendar.
- Custom Confirmation Process: You might want to implement a more personalized confirmation process, such as reaching out to the client before confirming the appointment, ensuring that they are fully aware of the meeting details or any pre-requisites they need to prepare for.
- High No-Show Rate: If you're experiencing a high no-show rate, manually confirming appointments gives you a chance to communicate with leads or clients beforehand, potentially reducing the number of no-shows by verifying their intent to attend.
- Team Member Assignment: If appointments need to be assigned to specific team members based on availability, skill sets, or project phases, manual confirmation allows you to ensure that the right team member is assigned to each appointment before it is finalized.
- Handling Complex Appointments: For appointments that require preparation, multiple steps, or additional information (e.g., multi-step consultations), you might prefer to manually confirm to ensure that everything is in place before proceeding.
- Payment Verification: If your appointment booking is linked to payment or deposit collection, you may want to verify that payment has been received before confirming the appointment.
In these cases, turning off auto-confirm allows for more control and a smoother appointment management process tailored to your specific needs.
