Connecting Your Google Business Profile

This article explains how to integrate your Google Business Profile with your GrowthMap™ account and why having one is essential for businesses.

Why every business needs a Google Business Profile

Previously known as Google My Business (GMB), a Google Business Profile (GBP) is a free tool that enables you to manage your business’s online visibility across Google services. It helps potential customers find more information about your business and offers easy options for getting directions or making reservations.

Most importantly, your Google Business Profile helps you show up in Google Maps when potential customers search for a business like yours. This is so important because for search results that include the Google Map Pack, 40% of leads end up clicking through one or more of the businesses displayed on the map.

What can you do with a Google Business Profile?

With a Google Business Profile, you can add essential business details like descriptions, photos, and videos. You can also create an interactive map showing your business location, making it easier for local customers to find you.

Can GrowthMap™ automatically collect Google reviews for my business?

Yes! After you integrate your GBP with your GrowthMap™ account, you will unlock a few key features making it easier for you to collect and respond to reviews and increase your visibility in local searches. With Ai Reviews, you can automatically respond to every single new review, which is a positive signal to Google's algorithm when deciding which businesses to show at the top of search results. Additionally, with the GrowthMap Review Accelerator™ you can automate the client feedback process and grow your 5 star reviews on autopilot.

How to connect my Google Business Profile to GrowthMap™

  1. Login to your GrowthMap™ account
  2. Visit Settings → Integrations
  3. Find the tile that says "Connect your location's Google Account" and choose Sign in with Google
  4. Follow the instructions to grant permissions for LeadConnector to access your Google account
  5. Go back to the Settings → Integrations page and choose the relevant GBP for your business

After you have successfully connected your Business Profile from Google, you should see the Google Business icon on your Integrations page. You can disconnect and/or switch the GBP connected to your GrowthMap™ account from this area of the Integrations page.

The email connected to your Google Business Profile may be different than your login email for GrowthMap™ and/or different from your main business email. If needed, you may connect multiple Google accounts to a single GrowthMap™ sub-account. Make sure the primary Google account is the Gmail login associated with your Google Business Profile. This will allow you to successfully link and manage your Google Business Profile from within GrowthMap™.
