Call Recording
Activating call recording can greatly enhance your communication tracking. Once enabled, recorded calls will automatically appear in the conversation history for each contact, right alongside their emails, text messages, Facebook messages, Instagram direct messages, and more.
Keep in mind that in many locations, you’re legally required to include a brief pre-call disclosure — such as “this call is being recorded for quality purposes” — so that the caller is properly informed.
It is up to you to ensure your business is compliant with all state & local laws.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to inform callers that the conversation is being recorded?
Yes. In many states and countries, you’re legally required to disclose that the call is being recorded. By default, GrowthMap™ provides a pre-recorded message stating that calls are recorded for quality purposes.
Can I remove or customize the automated call recording message?
You may do so, but you are fully liable for ensuring compliance with laws around call recording. You can edit the default message to include your company’s name or a different disclosure if you would like. Or... to remove the message entirely, you’ll need to follow specific steps (such as adding a blank space) to bypass the default prompt. However, before doing this, confirm that it’s legal in your region to proceed without an automated disclosure and have your staff verbally notify callers that you are recording the call instead.
What happens if I don’t include any pre-call disclosure message?
If you delete the message entirely and don’t notify callers verbally, you risk non-compliance with local laws and regulations. GrowthMap™ will automatically restore a default message if it detects that none is present. To remain compliant, either keep the automated message or train your team to provide a verbal disclaimer at the start of each call.
