How to Create a Product in GrowthMap™
Creating a product in your dashboard is the first step toward making your offerings available for purchase. Follow the guide below to set up product details, pricing, tax settings, and more.
1. Navigate to the Product Creation Page
- Go to Payments > Products
- Click + Create Product

2. Fill in Product Information
This section defines what your product is, how it appears to buyers, and where it lives in your online catalog.
Online Store Display
- Include in Online Store: Toggle this on to make the product visible and purchasable in your online storefront.
Basic Details
Title (Required): The name of your product. Appears on checkout pages, internal dashboards, and public listings.
Description: Use the rich text editor to add details, including:
- Bold / italics
- Hyperlinks
- Bullet points
Font customization
This helps customers understand your offer quickly and clearly.
Media
- Upload an image or video to visually represent your product.
Recommended: 1024×1024 resolution, under 10MB.
Labels & Collections
- Enable Product Label: Adds a custom badge such as New, Top Pick, etc.
- Product Collection: Assign the product to an existing collection for easier organization and better browsing experience.
3. Configure Tax Options
Set how your product is taxed at checkout.
Product Tax Code
Choose a tax category for automatic sales tax calculation.
If left empty, your global tax settings apply.
Include Tax in Prices
Choose whether:
- The price shown includes tax
The price shown excludes tax
You may follow global settings or override them manually.
Attach Tax Rates
Useful for manual tax handling or for selling to international buyers.
Statement Descriptor (Additional Settings)
Customize how the charge appears on the customer’s bank statement.

4. Set Pricing
The Pricing section determines how customers will purchase your product.
Pricing Name
An internal label to distinguish between multiple pricing options or tiers.
Pricing Type
Select:
- Onetime (single payment)
- Recurring (subscription with billing cycles and optional trials or setup fees)
Amount & Compare-at Price
- Amount: The actual price customers pay
- Compare-at Price: Optional—used to show discounts by displaying the original price
Currency
Choose the payment currency (e.g., USD).
Inventory Management
- Enable Track Inventory to manage stock levels
- Enter the available quantity if relevant
Additional Options
Includes advanced settings such as:
- Purchase limits
- Metadata fields
- Additional internal notes
Price Description
Add a short internal description for this pricing entry.
5. Add Product Variants
Variants allow you to offer multiple options under a single product (e.g., sizes, levels, bundles).
How to Add Variants
- Enter an Option Name (e.g., “Course Level,” “Plan Type”).
- Add Option Values (e.g., Basic, Premium, Pro).
- Click Done.
Each variant can have:
- Its own price
- A compare-at price
- Independent inventory tracking
This is helpful for offering tiered content, bundles, or limited-enrollment products.
6. Optimize Search Engine Settings
Improve your product’s visibility in search engines.
SEO Title
A short, keyword-rich title for search engine results.
SEO Description
A concise summary that includes relevant keywords to help customers discover your product online.
Handle
This sets the product’s URL slug (e.g., /product/my-course-name).
Customize it for readability and SEO value.
7. Save Your Product
Once all information is completed, click Save to publish or store your product.
